About Gianna Rose

Gianna Rose is a singer-songwriter from Long Island whose work blends emotional storytelling with a dynamic fusion of pop, rock, and R&B influences. With a foundation rooted in lifelong musical training and performance, her artistry is defined by expressive vocals, thoughtful lyricism, and a deep commitment to authentic human connection through music.

Gianna’s passion for songwriting began at an early age. In sixth grade, she wrote her first original song, which earned recognition in a nationwide competition — an early milestone that sparked a continued dedication to creating music that is both personal and universally resonant. She began studying voice at Grace Music School and spent her formative years actively involved in choirs, recitals, and performance programs throughout school and her local community.

Her early performance experiences led her to renowned stages including Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall, where she performed with her high school choir. During this time, she also served as conductor of her school’s women’s choir, demonstrating both musical leadership and artistic maturity from a young age.

Gianna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Hofstra University, where she became deeply involved in the university’s vocal and a cappella community. She was a four-year member and three-year president of Makin' Treble, Hofstra’s only all-treble voiced a cappella ensemble, for which she also arranged music currently available on streaming platforms. In addition, she served as vice president of The Hofbeats, one of Hofstra’s mixed-voice a cappella groups, while contributing as both a performer and arranger over four years. She further expanded her vocal training through performances with Hofstra’s Chamber Choir and Chorale.

Beyond academia, Gianna has cultivated extensive professional experience as both a performer and educator. For the past four years, she has performed as a vocalist with Crossing Midnight Entertainment, bringing versatility and stage presence to a wide range of live events. She has also taught private piano and voice lessons at Center Stage Music Center for the past two years, mentoring young musicians in both technical development and artistic confidence.

Her commitment to understanding the music industry has also led to valuable professional training outside the classroom and stage. Through a remote internship with Heart Dance Records, Gianna gained experience in music business operations, branding, and social media marketing. She later completed a remote internship with Dividend Management, where she collaborated with fellow artists on songwriting projects, participated in an asynchronous songwriting workshop with John Legend, and developed skills in music production, mixing, and mastering.

Currently, Gianna is pursuing her Master of Music in Music Theory and Composition: Songwriting at New York University, continuing to refine her artistic voice while expanding her compositional and production expertise.

As a solo artist, Gianna has performed piano-and-vocal sets at venues throughout New York, including pinkFROG cafe, Record Cafe, Soul Brew, and The Guesthouse Bistro. Her performances are marked by emotional sincerity and a distinctive ability to connect intimately with audiences.

Through music that explores love, heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and empowerment, Gianna Rose creates songs that invite listeners into deeply honest emotional landscapes. Her goal as an artist is not only to entertain, but to create meaningful experiences that leave audiences feeling seen, understood, and inspired.
